In 2012 a study by Joel Lexchin was published on the influence of the pharmaceutical industry on the outcomes of clinical trials. The study concludes that these companies skew the results in their favor at every stage of its production, and that there is no evidence that any measures taken to address this issue has stopped or even slowed down the biasing of this research.
