You’ve installed Tuxguitar and you find yourself without sound when playing a song, try these steps.

Open a terminal and install tuxguitar-jsa:

sudo apt install tuxguitar-jsa

Once installed, open Tuxguitar.

Go to Tools > Settings > Sound.

Select “Gervill” as the Midi Port.

It is also recommended to change the Sequencer from “TuxGuitar Sequencer” to “Real Time Sequencer” because it is faster.
